Laurels Farm is on the southern edge of Cheshire, in between Bridgemere Garden World and Stapeley Water Gardens in an immaculately groomed setting. The company has been producing cheese since 1957, in the early days making just five Cheshire Cheese a day. Joseph Heler transformed cheese making at Laurels Dairy, which is now the largest independent cheese maker in the UK, with a turnover exceeding £30 million per annum. The company now employs 100 staff run by two generations of the Heler family.

In 2001, Joseph Heler won the prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise in the Innovation Category for Low Fat cheese. The Low Fat varieties, together with a range of continental cheeses, are produced for both the retail and ingredient sectors. However, Joseph Heler Cheese is best known for its British territorial cheese and supplies most of the major multiples.

To ensure the highest quality cheese, milk used in cheese production comes from 92 local Freedom Foods accredited farms on the Cheshire salt bed. Every Monday morning Chairman Joseph Heler overseas the cheese grading to ensure high standards are maintained.

Available under the Joseph Heler label and supermarkets own label.
